In general, individuals must
minimally meet each of the following criteria in order to
be accepted into Advocate's Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Program.
- The individual must
want to receive off-site Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Services from Advocate.
- The individual must be
18 years of age or older.
- The individual must
live in a geographic area (Annapolis or
Baltimore)
served by Advocate Support Services.
- The individual must be
actively under the care of a psychiatrist before
applying.
- The individual's
psychiatrist must refer the individual to Advocate's

- The individual must be
diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental disorder
according to Maryland's Department of Health & Mental
Hygiene. Click HERE to go to our Forms page and

Population Diagnoses to view a list of approved
diagnoses.
- The individual must
have experienced impaired role functioning, on a
continuing or intermittent basis, for the last 2
years.
- The individual must
have Maryland Medical Assistance, or be determined
eligible for services as an uninsured individual by
MAPS-MD.
- The individual must be
assessed as being appropriate for PRP services by
Advocate Support Services.
